What are Vortronics Comics?

Votronics comics are a series of webcomics and somewhat one shot comics done by myself (Risawn on the 'net) that are mostly related to the Vortron world. Because of the fair amount of them, I have linked them all in one place, located here. Some are purely some strange fancy I had that I decided to take part in, others are ongoing projects that consume my life at times. They are all listed below.

I have planned on doing comics entirely outside of the world of the vortron, but whether or not these come to be we will never know. Maybe one day.

Creature, Keeper of the Vortron, Dimension Gateway - Boredom is a terrible thing to waste. I started this comic back in 2002 when I thought I had nothing better to do with my life. It eats my every waking hour at times. Because life has taken presidence, there are some bad years (2007 and 2008 come to mind) but thought it frequently goes on hiatus, it just never simply DIES. This is a good thing, according to my readers who seem to enjoy it and keep coming back despite my not posting anything for three, five, eight months at a time. Hmm. Dedicated readership.
Creature is all about a story of this aptly named creature named Creature. He's got a companion named Splash who's a winged unicorn. They exist in this entity known as the Vortron, which is a gateway between time, dimensions and worlds. When I first created this comic, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. So I guess I'll keep plugging away at it until I give up. And yes, I do know the ending to this comic. Whether or not it ever comes to pass largely depends on whether or not I have the tolerance to continue. Heh.

Black Magic - This comic's beginnings is integrated into the above comic, but because its hard to follow there, and there is a lot of interruptions by a toddler, it is placed here so people can read it without interruption. People seem to really like the story of Magic. I had it 'finished' (with the intention of someday continuing it) and at a stopping point I was satisfied with, except there are three comics now missing. As soon as I figure out what happened to them, I'll put them back in. Otherwise, I'll put them in when I get around to redoing them.

Layer - Or Lair, whichever, I'm not entirely sure. But this comic will forever hold that stigma. One of these days, I might continue with this, but it will be more along the lines of when I get to it or feel drawn to it. I have it scripted out, it's just not that interesting to me to complete at this time. That might change later on down the road. Otherwise, it's the tale of Creature's kind. And when it is finished, it will detail more about what Creature is and his past.

The Demon Chronicles - This kind of took presidence over the Layer for me, because it sounded like so much fun to do. And it will be, if I can get past my artist funk and the current world (it's hard to look at for me). Like Black Magic, Demon Chronicles had a few comics finished that 'disappeared' and when I find them, I'll post them here. I've got practically the whole thing scripted out, all I really need is the motivation and the time to do it. The current world is the killer. Always the killer. On Hiatus until I get motivated to work on it again.

Creature Questions - These are a series of one shots I did back whenever in the forum where I was doing a little thing where readers were asking the characters a question and the characters would answer. I decided to answer some of the questions in comic format. Some of them are confusing (like the latest offering) while others are simply amusing. If you follow Creature, you might get a kick out of these.

Precomic - This all started with Creature. And if you go back further, in 1996, it started with a high school art assignment. I had to make a beast out of clay, and it looked like a dachshund with wings. Creature was born. Six months later, I was given the task to make a comic and this is what came out. It was actually going in a very different direction then what it did, but there are some characters that were created durng this concept phase (that I never finished) Creature, Splash, Magic, his brother Star, and Sarule, who has not been introduced in the comic. (or has he? Let me think. Mmm, no.) It also created a villain, who I think I named Merlzek, or Erzekial, or something really retarded. Oh well, he meets a quick death, becuase he was a crappy villain.
